Petrus Gerardus Vertin was a Dutch painter, watercolorist and lithographer.  He was a pupil of B.J. van Hove.

He is known for his attention to picturesque details in his paintings of the towns of his native Holland.  Although he lived in the 19th century, he remained beholden to the tradition of the Dutch 17th century.  His colors are warm and pleasing.
